Slash through the confusion with NEW WhatsApp group feature
WhatsApp is working on a new feature called ‘Community Home’. This new WhatsApp group feature will allow users to manage multiple groups all at once by keeping them together in a separate section. This new feature has not yet been released to the public and is currently in beta testing. This feature is only being developed for the Android version at present, but in the future it might be rolled out for iPhone users as well. Check our WhatsApp Guide on it.
This was first reported by WABetaInfo, an independent portal that keeps track of new developments on WhatsApp. “Community Home is a new WhatsApp section and it contains all groups linked to a certain WhatsApp community,” the report said. This update is part of its beta version 18.104.22.168 for Android, which also comes with one more addition.
New WhatsApp group feature: Community Home
Community Home will allow you to add multiple groups that you are a part of in a single window section. These communities could be either all your groups or certain groups with similar themes. Once added, a user will be able to manage the groups together. A user will also be able to edit the communities and make changes. Users will be able to make multiple community homes for different groups. This new WhatsApp group feature will definitely make managing groups a lot easier.
This new feature has been in WhatsApp’s pipeline for a while now. It was first reported by WAbetaInfo in November 2021. Exact details of this new feature are yet to be announced. While some believe that the feature will apply to all users who are participants of a group, some suggest that it may only be a tool for group admins to manage multiple groups. We will keep you updated as we find out more about this interesting new feature.
Other changes in the new WhatsApp update
Apart from Community Home, the new update has also added WhatsApp language support for two new languages. These include Amharic (Afro-Asiatic language) and Somali, the official language of Somalia, Somaliland and Ethiopia. These two languages take WhatsApp’s localization to 40 different languages.
