Sony Xperia 10 III with Snapdragon 690, 6GB RAM spotted on Geekbench
A new Sony smartphone with a “Sony A003SO” label has been spotted on the Geekbench database and the listing suggests that it might be the Japanese variant of the rumoured Sony Xperia 10 III.
The Geekbench listing reveals that this Sony smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and runs Android 11 OS out-of-the-box. The Sony A003SO is powered by the Qualcomm chip mentioned with its ‘lito’ codename and 1.80GHz base frequency. And the device scored a 601 and 1821 in single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench.
As per the report on Sumahoinfo, this Sony A003O might be the model number of the Japanese version of the rumoured Xperia 10 III. While it is not easy to identify this ‘lito’ chipset, it is possible that it might be a Snapdragon 600 chipset. Other reports have it that the Xperia 10 III might come with the Snapdragon 690 5G chipset. Putting these speculations together, it is possible that the A003SO might be the Xperia 10 III.
Earlier in January this year, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer released CAD renders of the Xperia 10 III. As per these renders the smartphone measures 154.4 x 68.4 x 8.3mm and has a 6-inch screen with sizeable bezels all around. The smartphone has two front-facing speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The design on the Xperia 10 III is going to be different from the Xperia 10 II that it succeeds.
On the rear the Xperia 10 III has a 12MP primary shooter, a 8MP telephoto lens and a 8MP superwide sensor. Sony is expected to announce this device this month itself. Besides the Xperia 10 III, Sony may also announce the Xperia I 111 flagship with the Snapdragon 888 and the Xperia L5 mid-ranger with the Helio P35v.
