Tecno Spark Power 2 to be priced under ₹10,000: Report

Tecno is working on a new budget smartphone for the Indian market. Here’s what the first leak has revealed about the Spark Power 2.

Tecno is gearing up to launch a new budget smartphone in India. Called Tecno Spark Power 2, some details of the phone have leaked online.

According to 91Mobiles, Tecno Mobile will launch the Spark Power 2 later this month. The website citing sources says the phone will be priced under ₹10,000. The company will sell the phone online exclusively via Flipkart.

Not much is known about the Spark Power 2 except that the phone could come with fast charging support and a larger battery. 

Tecno's new phone will follow the company's Spark 5 which launched in India recently for ₹7,999.

Tecno Spark 5 comes with a 5,000mAh battery. It runs on MediaTek's Helio A22 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The smartphone comes with four rear cameras featuring 13-megapixel primary sensor, a couple of 2-megapixel sensors and an AI sensor. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone comes with a few modes such as AR, bokeh, HDR, AI beauty, and macro mode among others.

Tecno Spark 5 features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with 90.2% screen-to-body ratio. Other important features of the phone include Android 10 and rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

The upcoming Tecno Spark Power 2 is likely to borrow some of the specs. For now, there's no word on the official launch date for the phone.
