Not only the design, but Samsung stuffs a lot of features into its phones. Most of these features are exclusive to Samsung devices and they elevate the Android experience to the next level. Most of these features can be found in the latest Samsung phones running on One UI 3, although some of these can also be found in older One UI 2.

Create GIF with Smart Select 

Yes, you can create your own GIFs using the Smart Select feature. All you need to do is bring out the sidebar, look for “Smart Select” and open it. Next, play the video on your screen and use smart select to record it. You can even adjust the width and height of the frame before recording. Once you hit record and close it, the clip will be saved as a GIF. Now, you can share it with the world. 

Samsung Pay to replace Paytm, PhonePe 

Samsung Pay may not be as versatile now without the MST chip on new Samsung phones but it still is the easiest way to make payments digitally. Swiping up from the homescreen brings up your debit/credit card details and UPI wallet shortcuts. You can tap on the QR code scanner and choose one of the activated services to make the payment. Note that you can even add your Paytm wallet in Samsung Pay along with your BHIM UPI account. Samsung Pay also rewards you with points that can be reimbursed for other rewards. 

Stream audio on two earbuds/BT speakers 

Got to watch the Netflix show with your friend/partner but do not want to share earbuds? You can now pair two pairs of TWS earbuds or BT speakers to your phone and play audio out of them simultaneously. Connect both devices via Bluetooth and then open the “Media” tab from the notifications tray to route the audio via both speakers/set of earbuds. 

Use Samsung Pass to save passwords

You can technically ask Google to save passwords but if you have trust issues, Samsung Pass is available too. You have to login with your Samsung account and then let the app run in the background. Whenever you login to a social media account, or any app-based account, Samsung Pass will pop-up with the ability to save it. It will then offer the option to autofill the password next time you login. This is only restricted to Samsung devices. 

Watch TV and read news on Samsung Free 

The Samsung Free app comes pre-installed on Galaxy M and A series devices, and needs to be downloaded on Galaxy S, and Galaxy Z devices. With this app, you can read the latest news articles curated from various sites, and even watch live TV channels that are free-to-air. You can run the Live TV feeds in a floating window while you do something else in the background.
