Vivo on Monday announced the launch of its Y50 smartphone in India. Priced at ₹17,990, the phone will be available through Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tata CLiQ, and across all partner retail stores.
Vivo Y50, launched in China in April this year, comes with a 6.53-inch iView display and 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. The phone runs on Android 10-based Funtouch OS and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 665 processor. The phone has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM.
The latest Y50 comes with four rear cameras including a 13-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel super-wide-angle 120-degree sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The camera is backed by EIS. For selfies, it has a 16-megapixel camera. Vivo Y50 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery.

Vivo in its release said that the Y50 follows the company's “commitment to ‘Make in India' and is manufactured at vivo's Greater Noida facility.”
Looking at the price point and specs on offer, Vivo Y50 will compete with other popular under ₹20,000 phones such as Xiaomi's Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Realme 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M31, and Realme X2.
