'Gran Turismo 6' coming to PlayStation 4 later

'We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version on mind,' 'Gran Turismo 6' director Kazunori Yamauchi told journalists at the game's announcement, before confirming that a PlayStation 3 version was the one set for this holiday season.
Yamauchi envisioned a PlayStation 4 version of the simulation racer arriving only once players had already 'thoroughly played out' the game and its post-release content, IGN and GameSpot reported.
With a PS4 version pulling together the main game with the additional vehicles, tracks and course layouts that are to follow, it could well resemble a cross between the comprehensive 'Game of the Year' editions of best-selling titles and the HD re-releases of older console classics that are now in vogue, adding further graphical refinements where possible.
It would also give the Polyphony Digital studio an opportunity to get to grips with the PlayStation 4 using familiar material, making development of any eventual PS4-exclusive title a far smoother affair.
