Panasonic on Wednesday launched a new 4G VoLTE smartphone in India. Called the Eluga I2 Activ, the smartphone is available in 2GB RAM and 1GB RAM variants, priced at ₹7,990 and ₹7,190 respectively. The Eluga I2 Activ will be available in Gold, Rose Gold and Grey colour options.
The Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ comes with a 5-inch HD display. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The smartphone comes with 16GB of ROM with expandable storage support up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Eluga I2 Activ sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0. A 2,200mAh battery powers the smartphone.
The Panasonic Eluga I2 Activ will be competing against Xiaomi's Redmi 4A, which is priced at ₹5,999. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A comes with a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB of storage and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. The smartphone is powered by a 3120mAh battery.
