Paytm launches Covid-19 Vaccine Finder on its platform: How to use it
Paytm users can now sign up for real-time notifications for the availability of Covid-19 vaccines in their area.
Paytm on Thursday announced the launch of Covid-19 Vaccine Finder on its Mini App Store. The tool allows users to check the availability of vaccination slots for a specific date by entering PIN codes or district details for eligible age groups i.e. 18+ or 45+.
According to Paytm, users can also opt for real-time alerts on the app to get information about the availability of any slot for vaccination. The company says the process will help reduce the hassle of refreshing the platform to check for new slots repeatedly. Paytm also clarified that the data is sourced on a real-time basis from the CoWin API.

Commenting on the new launch, a Paytm spokesperson said, "We have introduced a new feature to find COVID Vaccine slots in the nearby locality and set for alerts when new slots open up. We believe that with the combined efforts of Government, organizations, and citizens, we are on the right track to recovery. Our priority is to build collective resistance to the deadly virus as a nation, thus catalyzing the process of herd immunity."
Note that Paytm users cannot use the tool to book an appointment for vaccination from the app. The appointments are available through government platforms such as Aarogya Setu, Umang, and CoWin.
Steps to use the Vaccine Finder on Paytm:
- Open the Paytm app on your phone. Go to the Mini App Store section.
- Tap on the Vaccine Finder icon.
- Enter your PIN code to check for availability in your area.
- Tap on “Search by District” for a broader search.
- You can also sign up for “Notify me when slots are available” in your area.
Paytm's new tool comes amid a huge rush for booking an appointment for Covid-19 vaccinations, especially after it opened for people aged between 18 and 44. As of now, the CoWin website does not alert people about the availability of vaccines. Some coders have figured workarounds to help people get email alerts and notifications to get information on the availability of vaccines. READ: Can't book a slot on CoWIN? Maybe these coders can help
