Poco X2 India launch highlights: Price starts at ₹15,999, first sale on Feb 11
Poco has finally made its comeback with a new smartphone, Poco X2. This new phone is however not a successor to Poco F1. It is instead the first phone from the new Poco X series.Poco X2 comes with features like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G processor, 4,500mAh battery and dual selfie cameras. It also has a 64-megapixel Sony IMX 686 quad camera setup. The smartphone will go on sale in India on February 11 exclusively via Flipkart. Poco X2 will be available in three storage variants all of which are priced under ₹20,000. It also comes in three colour options of purple, red and blue. Here are the highlights from the Poco X2 India launch today.
Poco X2: Price in India
Poco X2 is priced at Rs 15,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 6GB+128GB storage will retail at 16,999 and the 8GB+256GB variant will be available at Rs 19,999. It will be available starting February 11 at 12:00 noon on Flipkart. Poco is also offering Rs 1,000 off on ICICI EMI transactions.
Poco X2: Features
Poco X2's kernel source will be available on Github starting today. It also comes with an IR blaster and P2i coating. Poco X2 will also support VoWiFi calling service out-of-the-box.
Poco X2: Design, colours
Poco X2 features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back. Poco X2 also comes with a speaker grille at the bottom and the 3.5mm headphone jack as well. Poco X2 comes in three colour options of ‘Atlantis Blue', ‘Matrix Purple' and ‘Phoenix Red'.
Poco X2: Camera features
Poco X2 comes with camera features like RAW image capture and 960 fps slow motion video recording. Poco X2 also offers vlog mode with 7 different styles. For the dual selfie cameras, Poco X2 offers portrait mode.

Poco X2 sports a quad-camera setup featuring a 2-megapixel depth sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 camera . Up front, it has dual in-screen cameras with a 20-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Poco X2: Storage variants
Poco X2 will be available in multiple storage variants. It will offer up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
Poco X2: Performance
Poco X2 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 730G processor paired with Adreno 618 GPU for graphics. Poco X2 also comes with liquid cooling system and it is fuelled by a 4,500mAh battery. The phone comes with 27W fast charging support. Poco will also ship the 27W fast charger in the box.

Poco X2 offers 120Hz refresh rate on its 6.67-inch display. Poco unveiled multiple games that support 120Hz refresh rate. Poco also compared Poco X2 with Realme X2 and how the former offers a better gaming and scrolling experience as well.

Poco X2 features a 6.67-inch display with 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a dual punch-hole camera display. Poco X2 has a “Reality Flow” display with 120Hz refresh rate.

Poco X2: Expected specs
Poco has already revealed some key features of the Poco X2. But leaks have revealed almost all there is to know about the phone. Accumulating leaks and reports, Poco X2 could come with a quad camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor. Poco X2 is said to be offered in multiple storage variants with 6GB+64GB as the base model. The smartphone's display could be a 6.67-inch screen with dual punch-hole selfie cameras.
Poco X2: Expected India price
Poco X2 has been leaked in multiple occasions with its price, specs and design revealed. In terms of pricing, Poco X2 is expected to start at Rs 18,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. This is lower than the starting price of Poco F1 which was Rs 20,999.
Poco X2: A rebranded Redmi K30?
Shortly after the Poco X2 announcement, there were several reports suggesting the phone will be a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi K30. There were leaks as well alleging that the Poco X2 is indeed the Redmi K30. Poco finally showed glimpses of the Poco X2's design which more or less confirms it is the Redmi K30. The same lavender colour with aluminium finish is visible on the Poco X2.
Poco X2: Confirmed specs
Poco has been teasing its new smartphone for quite some time now. Poco X2 will feature a ‘Reality Flow' display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This would be one major highlight of the Poco X2 as only the Asus ROG Phone 2 offers this display. Poco X2 will also support 27W fast charging with a USB Type-C port. Poco X2's teaser also suggests the phone will sport a Sony IMX 686 camera.
Poco X2: Flipkart exclusive
Poco X2 will be available exclusively via Flipkart in India. Flipkart already has a teaser page on the Poco X2 highlighting the phone's key features. There is no word on the sale details of the Poco X2 as yet.
Poco X2: New flagship killer?
Poco F1 was the most affordable phone to offer Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset which was the fastest processor then. Similar expectations are on the Poco X2 which is so far confirmed to come with a 120Hz display, 27W fast charging and a quad camera setup. The smartphone will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor.
Poco becomes an independent brand
Poco was introduced in 2017 as Xiaomi's sub-brand. The company's first phone, Poco F1 turned out to be one the best mid-range performers with high-end specs but an affordable price tag. There was no news of Poco or a Poco F2 until earlier this January when it was announced as an independent brand. Poco X2 is the first phone from Poco as an independent brand.
