Tambo TA-4 smartphone with 18:9 display launched in India: Price, specifications

Domestic smartphone firm Tambo Mobile on Wednesday launched a new budget smartphone in India. Tambo T-A4 is priced at ₹6,999, and will be available for purchase across distributor channels in India.

"Tambo 'TA-4' is a powerful device developed keeping in mind the Indian customers' preferences," Sudhir Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Tambo, said in a statement.

Tambo T-A4 features a 5.45-inch HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek 6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz. In terms of memory, it comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.

On the software front, Tambo T-A4 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, and houses a 3000mAh battery. For photography, Tambo T-A4 sports an 8-megapixel rear Samsung sensor with Dual-LED flash. Up front it has a 5-megapixel camera with flash for selfies.

Tambo Mobile already has more than 600 service centres in India and aims to have 1,000 such touch points by the end of this year, the company said.
