The Android TV-based Mi TV Stick features Dolby and DTS powered surround sound support and even has Google Assistant built-in to make content searching easier. The product also includes Chromecast.
Powered by a quad-core CPU, the streaming stick has 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage. It comes with a Bluetooth remote controller as well that looks a lot like the remote control that comes with the Mi Box 4K. It has dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, and Prime Video and supports FHD resolution videos at 60fps.
The Mi TV Stick costs EUR 39.99 ( ₹3,433 approximately). Although the India price is not known, the device might be priced around ₹3,999 or possibly less in order to give Amazon Fire TV Stick a stiff competition.
The product can be called as a rival to Amazon Fire TV Stick since it features the same thumb drive form factor and has nearly the same capabilities. Also, this is company’s first attempt at a streaming video stick. The Mi Box 4K is more powerful as it can support 4K videos as well with HDR10 support and more.
