Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 4G launched

In addition to 5G connectivity, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G also come with upgraded specs over its global counterparts.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G (Xiaomi)

Xiaomi finally took the wraps off its new Redmi Note 9 series in China. Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G come with upgraded specs as compared to the Redmi Note 9 series in India. Xiaomi also launched a 4G model of the Redmi Note 9.

Redmi Note 9 4G starts at CNY 999 ( ₹11,300 approx), and it comes in four variants. Redmi Note 9 5G comes in three storage variants at a starting price of CNY 1,299 ( ₹14,600 approx). As for the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, the base model is priced at CNY 1,599 ( ₹18,000 approx). This one too is available in three variants.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Note 9 5G have a punch-hole display, and a circular camera module at the rear. Redmi Note 9 4G features a notched display with vertically stacked rear cameras.

In terms of specs, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G sports a quad camera setup at the rear with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G also packs a 4,820mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. On the software front, it runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 layered on top.

Redmi Note 9 5G has a slightly smaller 6.53-inch full HD+ display but no 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on MediaTek's Dimensity 800U processor, and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. There's a triple camera setup at the rear with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel front camera.

On the Redmi Note 9 4G, you get a 6.53-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone offers the biggest 6,000mAh battery out of the three along with 18W fast charging support. It also has triple rear cameras with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a wide angle lens, and a depth sensor.
