Activision is in all possibility bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile. Call of Duty: Warzone is the battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which is available on PC and consoles. The possibility of this happening comes from the fact that Activision was looking to hire someone for the role of Executive Producer, Features (WZM) where WZM probably is short for Warzone Mobile.

The job, posted on the Activision website, includes a description that states “a new AAA mobile FPS”. This is another hint at Warzone being brought to mobile.

That job position has already been filled, by the way, and was looking for someone to work on the new AAA mobile FPS in the Call of Duty franchise and the description also added that the person would need to “harvest, adapt and deliver the essential features from Warzone console and PC into their best mobile instantiation”.

Additionally, Activision mentions that this role would also serve as a primary point of contact on the Warzone Mobile leadership team.

Assuming someone has just been recruited for this role, we do not expect the game to arrive any time soon, but work is in progress. The name for the mobile iteration has not been announced yet. It is possible that the game might release later this year.

The job listing is no longer visible on the Activision website and was first spotted by Charlie Intel.

It’s not surprising that Activision might be looking to go the mobile way for a battle royale game and that too one that’s already popular on console and PC. With PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite missing in action, the battle royale space in countries like India is a lucrative point.
