How to recharge your Delhi Metro Smart Card using Amazon Pay

This feature is available both in the Amazon app and on the Amazon India website.

Amazon Pay today announced a partnership with Delhi Metro. As a part of this partnership, customers will be able to recharge their Delhi Metro Smart Cards using Amazon Pay. This feature is available both in the Amazon app and on the Amazon India website.

“The initiative is in line with DMRC’s commitment towards supporting the digital drive to promote cashless transactions among Delhi Metro commuters, at a time when social distancing has become a new normal for everyone,” Dr Mangu Singh, Managing Director, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said on the occasion.

Here’s how you can recharge your Delhi Metro Smart Card using Amazon Pay:

Step 1: Update the Amazon app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Tap on the Amazon Pay tab.

Step 3: Tap on the Metro Recharge option.

Step 4: Type in the Smart Card Number.

Step 5: Type in the recharge amount. You can select an amount ranging between 100 and 2,000 in multiples of 50.

Step 6: Tap on Proceed button.

Step 7: Once the payment is done, tap the card at the AVM at any Delhi Metro station

Step 8: Select ‘Top-Up’ to add the balance to your card.
