Apple’s A14X Silicon gets benchmarked and it’s way more than Core i9 MacBook Pro

Apple became the first in the world to bring its 5nm processor, A14 Bionic in iPad Air (2020) and then on all four iPhone 12 models. However, a better processor based on the same A14 Bionic could debut with the upcoming Mac devices that are supposed to have Apple’s own processors. The new chipset is being tipped as A14X Bionic and could be detailed at the upcoming November 10 ‘One More Thing’ event, the invite of which has already been sent.

This upcoming processor is said to have made rounds through GeekBench Benchmarking website recently. As mentioned by Apple Insider, the alleged CPU benchmarks reveal it to feature a 1.80GHz clock speed along with turbo boosting capabilities up to 3.10Ghz. This will also be the first ever silicon by Apple to have crossed 3Ghz benchmark. The chipset is said to have an 8-core processor with big-little arrangement. The GPU results add that there could be an 8GB RAM in the processor as well.

In the benchmark, A14X Bionic apparently scored 1634 for single-core performance, which is a good increase over A12Z’s 1118. As compared, A14 scored 1583. Multi-score benchmark gave 7220, which is way better than A12Z’s 4657 and A14’s 4198. To give you a better perspective, 16-inch MacBook Pro’s Intel Core-i9 processor scored 1096 for single core and 6869 for multi-core.

Talking about MacBooks with Apple Silicon processors, the company is expected to launch a 13-inch MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro with the new Silicon processor on November 10.
