Laptop for the masses! Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go launched; price to specs, know everything here

It is truly a digital age and the process was hurried along by the coronavirus pandemic that forced everyone indoors and further led to greater use of gadgets connected to the internet. A huge number of innovative gadgets have been launched over the recent months, especially in the affordable category. South Korean electronics major, Samsung has been quite active with its launches and just today, it rolled out what has been dubbed as a new laptop for the masses. It was done very quietly, without any fanfare. The new laptop is the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go. The news comes as a courtesy of an update on Samsung’s Mobile Press site. The company hasn’t mentioned anything about the Galaxy Chromebook Go on any of its blogs yet.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go price and availability

As far as the price and availability are concerned, Samsung hasn’t shared any of those details yet. While we know that the Galaxy Chromebook Go offers up to 8GB of RAM, we don’t know anything about its variants yet. As far as availability in India is concerned, the Korean electronics giant hasn’t mentioned the markets in which its newly launched Chromebook will be available.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go specs

The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go measures 327.1 x 225.6 x 15.9mm and it weighs 1.45Kgs. It features a 14-inch TFT HD display with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. It is available in a single Silver colour variant. It is powered by the Intel Celeron N4500 processor that is coupled with Intel UHD Graphics.

The Galaxy Chromebook Go is available in 4GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. It runs on Google’s Chrome operating system.

For connectivity, the Galaxy Chromebook Go has LTE*, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1. It also has two USB Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 port, a 3.5mm jack, a MicroSD slot, a Nano SIM card slot, and a Nano Security slot. Additionally, it has a webcam on top with a resolution of 720p. This web camera is coupled with a digital mic and two 1.5W speakers.

On the battery front, the Galaxy Chromebook Go features a 42.3Wh battery with a 45W USB Type-C charger.
