Another Realme X7 series 5G phone goes through India BIS certification ahead of 2021 launch

Realme India and Europe head Madhav Sheth has already confirmed that Realme X7 series will be coming to India in 2021. And while that was the ultimate confirmation that we can get right now, hints of it has started showing up. The latest one is Realme X7, codenamed RMX2176 being spotted in Indian BIS certification database. This not just reconfirms the handset’s arrival in India but also suggests that the launch could take place as early as January next year.

Sheth has also suggested that Realme X7 series could see a wider launch at a later date. The details however, are not yet known.

With Realme X7, the aim of the company is to bring 5G connectivity in the hands of more customers. It is worth adding that this is not the first time we are seeing a Realme X7 series handset passing through BIS certification. As per a tipster, Realme X7 Pro 5G has also bagged the certification. This was before the CEO made gave a confirmation.

Realme X7 Pro 5G has already launched in China. Available in Xingyu Black, Gradient Colour, and Fantasy White, X7 Pro 5G is available for a starting price of CNY 2,199 (  ₹23,000 approximately). The handset features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It has a punch-hole module on the front that houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

On the back, it has a familiar rectangular camera module featuring a setup that consists of 64-megapixel, 8-megapixel, 2-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. For performance, it runs on Dimensity 1000+ processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. A 4,500mAh battery coupled with 65W SuperDart Flash charge powers the phone.

Note that the specifications of the phone are for the Chinese model. The company may or may not make changes to the phone when it launches in India.
