Here’s what we know about Asus ROG Phone 4 so far

Asus has begun building hype around its upcoming flagship smartphone, ROG Phone 4. Even as the company has put out official teasers, the handset has continued to be detailed in the form of leaks and rumours.

According to a new leak (via Digital Chat Station), Asus ROG Phone 4 will come with a dual-cell 6,000mAh battery coupled with 60W or 65W fast charging support.

The new report corroborates the details that were leaked through China’s 3C listing. The listing revealed an Asus phone with I005DA. A separate Geekbench listing showed the phone had Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. It also runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box.

As of now, there is no word on the official launch date of the ROG Phone 4. Considering the recent spate of leaks and official teasers, it’s likely to happen sooner than anticipated.

In case you did not know, ROG Phone series is primarily aimed at gaming enthusiasts. The smartphones in the lineup are known for their high-end specifications and a bunch of hardware and software optimisations meant for the seamless gaming experience.

The ROG Phone 4 will succeed the last year’s ROG Phone 3. The 2019 flagship phone came with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+, 144Hz AMOLED screen and 6000mAh battery.

Being a gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 3 packs speakers that now has 7 magnets for lesser distortion. It also has a 3rd generation GameCool system, which has 6X larger heatsink, redesigned Copper 3D vapour chamber and a larger graphite film to keep things cool.
