iPhone 13 Pro cameras are better than Google Pixel 6 Pro! The revelation comes from critics at DxOMark after subjecting these cameras to scientific tests. This is quite surprising given that Google was expected to claim its fame back to the top of the charts, owing to the new camera hardware. The Pixel 6 Pro could only manage to score 135 overall, which is lesser than iPhone 13 Pro’s DxOmark score of 137.

However, the Huawei P50 Pro still leads the DxOMark charts with an overall score of 144 while the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra stays at the second spot with a score of 143. The Pixel 6 Pro definitely lacks in terms of camera hardware comparatively. However, in terms of the selfie camera performance, the Pixel 6 Pro scores better than the iPhone 13 Pro’s selfie camera.

Google Pixel 6 Pro beaten by iPhone 13 Pro

The Pixel 6 Pro managed to impress the critics with “good detail in bright light and indoor images, as well as in video.” The cameras also managed to retain shadow details nicely along with the contrast. The photos also captured accurate colours in both photos and videos. The Pixel 6 Pro also impressed with autofocus performance in lighting conditions, both indoors and outdoors.

The new telephoto camera in the Pixel 6 Pro also impressed with its details quality. Video stabilisation along with exposure and dynamic range in videos also earned brownie points for the Pixel 6 Pro.

However, there were downsides, of which as a result the Pixel 6 Pro lost to the iPhone 13 Pro. The camera reportedly had a narrow depth of field in group photos, resulting in blurry backgrounds. There were issues with noise in indoor and low light images, depth estimation in bokeh photos, unimpressive ultra wide camera and colour instabilities in video.

With the Pixel 6 Pro not making it to India, it seems the iPhone 13 Pro is currently the best camera phone you can buy today. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has higher ratings but the phone is no more available to purchase in India. Additionally, none of the Huawei P series flagships sell in India.
