We often see unannounced smartphones and other devices making their way to Geekbench benchmarking with their codenames before they actually launch. Most of them we are able to guess considering their codenames and model numbers be looking their predecessors’ model numbers. However, it sometimes happens that a new device with a completely out of sync model number shows up, something that gets us thinking what it might be. This has now happened by Samsung.

The South Korean tech firm’s mysterious product with codename “Samsung SHG-N375” has showed up on Geekbench, triggering thoughts on what it could be. Going by the specs, it has been deciphered that this could probably be a new phone but a completely different model number also raises questions if it’s a brand-new smartphone series or not.

As per the screenshot of the listing posted by a Twitter user, the handset is seen sporting Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 processor, which is company’s new chipset for mid-range devices with 5G support, along with 6GB RAM and Adreno 619 GPU. Android 10 is also listed in it.

While speculations are that single the model number doesn’t match any of the devices from the current line up Samsung has, it might just be a new series. However, a bit of speculation also goes towards it being a revival of an old series since the firm used to have similar model numbers for smartphone until 2013.

While all these are mere guesses, we can only wait and see what it turns out to be. It surely seems worth keeping a track of.
