New Apple iPhone 13 display feature revealed by tipster, re-confirms 120Hz support

Looks like you will be able to save some more battery in the next-gen iPhone, tipped as iPhone 13, which is said to launch later this year. It has been rumored that the upcoming handset can potentially light up portions of the screen for a brief time period, to show you the notifications without lighting up the entire panel every time and consuming more battery than what is really required. It is being said as one of the changes that could come as a part of the big display technology upgrade in the upcoming iPhone.

Also mentioned that this tech could work in the same way how it works in Apple Watch devices’ Always-On function. The claim comes from tipster Max Weinbach via Everything Apple Pro YouTube video.

In the video, it has been mentioned that the clock and battery icons will always be visible on the screen even if the handset is locked. The notifications will be displayed on the screen using bar and icons, without lighting up the entire panel. Instead, it will display content just like it shows you right now, except dimmed down and only temporarily, says Weinbach.

It has already been rumored that the iPhone 13 will get a 120Hz refresh rate panel. This will happen with the help of LTPO technology. It has been widely mentioned that iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max could be the only ones to get a 120Hz display. Another display-based change that is tipped for iPhone 13 series, is the under screen fingerprint sensor.
