Oppo A16 is coming soon, Geekbench listing reveals key specifications

Oppo will soon launch a new smartphone under its A-series. Dubbed Oppo A16, the handset has already appeared on multiple certification websites. Now, the upcoming Oppo A16 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing reveals some key specifications of the handset.

According to the benchmark listing, Oppo A16 will run on MediaTek’s Helio G35 processor. It will have 3GB of RAM. As far as the benchmark scores go, Oppo A16 bagged 177 single-core score and 960 multi-core scores. The listing further shows the phone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box. It also reveals the model number Oppo CPH2269.

Older leaks reveal the handset comes with a 5,000mAh battery and 10W charging support. It will also have ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. Connectivity options may include Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and Bluetooth.

There is no word on when the smartphone will officially launch. Reports, however, suggest the phone will be available soon, including in markets like India.

Oppo A16 will follow the launch of the Oppo Reno 6 series. The lineup features as many as three models – Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and Reno 6 Pro Plus. All the new Reno phones come with 90Hz displays, 64-megapixel triple cameras, up to 12GB of RAM and 65W fast charging support.

Reno 6 Pro comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display and MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 processor. It has a 4,500mAh battery and 65W fast charging support.

The top-end model, Reno 6 Pro+, comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. The phone has a quad-camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

Oppo Reno 6 is available in China for a starting price of CNY 2,799 ( ₹31,800 approximately) for the base model. The Reno 6 Pro comes with a starting price of CNY 3,499 ( ₹39,800 approximately). The most premium in the lineup, Reno 6 Pro+ costs CNY 3,999 ( ₹45,500 approx) for the base model.
