Oppo Reno 8 Pro could compete with iPhone 12, Motorola Edge 30 Pro with higher price

Oppo Reno 8 Pro India launch is just around the corner and prior to that, Oppo has been silently revealing everything about the phone over the weeks – its processor, cameras, battery, charging, etc. The only thing that remains to know is the price and thanks to a new leak, it is now known that the Reno 8 Pro will compete with the likes of iPhone 12 and Motorola Edge 30, thanks to much higher price than the Oppo Reno 7 Pro.

Based on leaked information from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro could come in only a single variant. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro Indian variant price in India will be Rs. 52,990 for the sole 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. This variant is also said to be the same one as the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ from the Chinese market. Oppo is yet to announce anything officially on this front.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro specs leak

Oppo Reno 8 Pro leaked renders also show the two colours that will be available for the Indian variant. There will be a glossy black and a glossy green colour variant of the phone available for buyers as well.

Oppo has so far confirmed that the Reno 8 Pro will feature the company’s MariSilicon NPU chip that should help with low light video recording. The phone will also make use of the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset, which should offer the same kind of performance as the Snapdragon 888 chip. The phone will be getting a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Assuming that the phone specs remain identical to the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+, the Reno 8 Pro is also likely to have the 50MP Sony camera as the one from the Reno 7 Pro. Oppo also confirms bringing the 80W SuperVOOC charging to the Reno 8 Pro this time, which we have already seen on the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Alongside this, the Oppo Reno 8 will also launch in India. This one will have the Dimensity 1300 chipset that should offer the same kind of performance as the Oppo Reno 7 Pro.
