Poco M2 Pro to launch in India on July 7

Poco today announced the launch date for its new smartphone ‘M2 Pro’. This will be Poco’s second smartphone in India this year after launching the Poco X2 series.

Poco M2 Pro will launch in India on July 7. The smartphone launch is scheduled to start at 12 noon and it will most likely be live streamed. Poco will also share updates on the launch via its social media platforms. Poco M2 Pro will also be available exclusively via Flipkart. The launch invite for Poco M2 Pro doesn’t reveal much other than a quad camera setup at the rear.

Poco M2 Pro recently secured BIS certification hinting at its imminent launch. Poco was earlier expected to launch the F2 Pro in India since the phone launched in Europe. But Poco India GM clarified that the next phone won’t be the F2 Pro. In terms of specs, there’s really not much that we know about the Poco M2 Pro. and also if this one too will be a rebranded version of a Xiaomi phone. Poco X2 launched in India as the rebranded Redmi K30.

There is speculation that the Poco M2 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G chipset which also powers the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Poco seems to have really kept the wraps on this phone.

Poco is slated to launch its first wireless earbuds ‘Poco Pop Buds’ as well. The launch date hasn’t been revealed yet but we could see it along with the Poco M2 Pro.
