The Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ are coming to the stores near you very soon. Leaks have long rumoured a four-model lineup of the Realme 9 series at launch and it will be the Pro variants launching earlier. A leak suggests that Realme will launch both the Pro variants in February 2022. An Indian launch date is yet to be revealed but it should happen soon after.
Based on a leaked report from 91Mobiles, it is said that the Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ will launch globally in February 2022. No exact date given yet but Realme could announce around the same time Xiaomi starts teasing its upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro models for the global market.
The leak does not reveal any detail on the Realme 9 and Realme 9i launch yet. It seems that the company wants to go upmarket with the Realme 9 series by launching Pro variants. European regulations have confirmed both the Pro variants having 5G connectivity as standard. There's not much idea about the exact specs but we assume it could similar to how Xiaomi sells its Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Some rumours suggest that the Pro+ variant could get a Snapdragon 870 chip! (that seems far fetched).
On the other hand, Realme is readying the Realme GT 2 series for global markets. The Realme GT 2 Pro has been wildly teased on the internet and will the company's first smartphone using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Realme has already revealed the design and it resembles the Realme GT Master Edition from last year.
Leaks have even revealed that the Realme GT 2 will retain the Snapdragon 888 chip from the Realme GT whereas the Pro variant is getting the latest Qualcomm chip. More details on the GT series models soon.
