Realme has already confirmed that it will be one of the first brands to offer MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1200 chip-based phone. According to rumours, it will be a ‘Realme X9 Pro. Realme has been teasing a new ‘X series’ phone for quite some time on its social media handles.
Apart from Dimensity 1200 chip, Realme X9 Pro will reportedly offer up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The phone will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The device will most likely offer Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box.
Realme X9 Pro will also double down on the camera prowess. Reports suggest the phone will come with a 108-megapixel camera coupled with two 13-megapixel sensors. On the front, it is said to come with a 6.4-inch OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and full HD+ resolution. A 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging is said to power the phone.
MediaTek on Wednesday launched Dimensity 1200 processor, which is set to a myriad of mid-range and premium phones in 2021. It comes with an octa-core CPU with an ultra-core Arm Cortex-A78 clocked up to 3GHz, three Arm Cortex-78 super cores and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores. For graphics, it has Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.
The SoC supports a resolution of up to 2520x1080 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 168Hz. It offers up to 16GB of RAM along with a peak download speed of 4.7Gbps and a peak upload speed of 2.5Gbps.
MediaTek claims that the Dimensity 1200 supports 200MP photos with staggered 4K HDR video capture for significantly greater dynamic range. It also Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity.
