Redmi gaming phone is coming soon with these features

Xiaomi’s Redmi will soon launch its first-ever gaming phone. So far, Redmi has confirmed the handset will MediaTek’s high-end Dimensity 1200 processor. Ahead of the official launch, the Redmi gaming phone has appeared in multiple leaks. Now, a new report sheds more light on what to expect from the phone.

According to Gizmochina, the Redmi gaming smartphone will feature a Samsung AMOLED E4 display. It will have a punch-hole cut out at the top centre. The display will support up to 144Hz refresh rate, on par with other gaming-focused phones like Asus ROG 5. The report further says that the phone will also have gaming shoulder buttons, akin to the Black Shark devices.

Furthermore, the handset will come with 67W fast charging support. As of now, there is no word on the battery size of the phone. The phone is likely to come with a large battery (5000-6000mAh).

As far as other specifications go, older rumours claim the phone will come with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary camera. It will reportedly be priced around 2,000 Yuan ( ₹23,000 approximately).

As said earlier, one of the highlights of the Redmi gaming phone is MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. Launched earlier this year, the Dimensity 1200 processor competes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870/888 processor and Exynos 2100. The chipset already powers phones such as Realme GT Neo.

The Redmi gaming phone will first launch in China. There is no word on when the phone will roll out in other markets.

Separately, Xiaomi is hosting an event in India on April 23. The company has already confirmed it will showcase the Mi 11 Ultra. The company has also started posting teasers for a brand-new X-series of Mi phones. The new series will reportedly feature Mi 11x and Mi 11x Pro.
