Redmi Note 9 India launch soon: Here’s what you need to know

Xiaomi’s Redmi will soon launch a new budget smartphone in India. Ahead of the official launch, Redmi has begun teasing the Redmi Note 9.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi has already launched Redmi Note 9 globally. The phone comes in 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB combinations. The phone is available in select markets for a starting price of ₹14,000 approximately.

In terms of specifications, Redmi Note 9 has a 6.53-inch full HD+ screen. It runs on MediaTek Helio G85 processor. On the software front, it offers Android 10-based MIUI 11. The phone has a fingerprint sensor as well as an IR blaster. 

The phone comes with four rear cameras featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and two 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone is powered by a 5,020mAh battery. It also supports 18W fast charging. 

The upcoming phone will join Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 Pro Max which is available in India for a starting price of ₹16,999.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G processor. The quad camera setup on the back features a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide (120-degree) angle lens, 5-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel proximity sensor. For selfies there's a 32-megapixel camera up front.
