Samsung has launched a new upgrade program for its Galaxy S20 series. The upgrade scheme also comes with Samsung’s ‘Premium Care’ support, 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage and Microsoft 365 subscription.
The Samsung Access program can be availed from its official website, as spotted by XDA Developers. It is however not available in India and the information collected is from Samsung’s US website. Samsung Access lets users keep their phone or upgrade to a new model every nine months for free. If users wish to upgrade sooner than that then they’ll have to pay $1,000.
Samsung Access for the Galaxy S20 starts at $37 per month. The Galaxy S20 costs $42 per month while the ‘Plus’ variant is available at $48 per month. The contract lasts for 36 months and this also includes the benefits mentioned above.
Samsung’s Premium Care lets users repair or replace a broken phone for $99 that will be deducted up to three times in a 12-month period. Then there’s 1TB storage of Microsoft’s OneDrive and 365 subscription as well. With the total package users would be saving $9 per month on these services.
The entire amount does cost higher than a one-time pay for the Galaxy S20. But those who prefer upgrading phones might like this deal. Samsung already has an upgrade program for its smartphones.
