Samsung Galaxy M02 spotted on Geekbench ahead of launch

Samsung is said to be working on a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy M02. So far, the phone has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification and Wi-Fi Alliance certification websites. Now, the phone has appeared on the Geekbench website, which gives us a closer look at the phone’s specifications.

As per the listing, which was first spotted by MySmartPrice, the Galaxy M02 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a frequency of 1.80GHz. This means that the upcoming smartphone should have Snapdragon 450 processor under-the-hood. This SoC will be coupled with 3GB of RAM and it will run on Android 10 mobile operating system.

Other than this, the Galaxy M02 listing fails to divulge more details about Samsung’s upcoming entry-level smartphone.

Separately, the phone has also been listed on Wi-Fi Alliance which hints towards the phone getting support for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Beyond this, nothing much is known about Samsung’s upcoming budget smartphone yet.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Samsung is working on two entry-level smartphones, that is, the Galaxy M02 and the Galaxy A02. Like Galaxy M02, the Galaxy A02 has also been spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification and Wi-Fi Alliance certification websites. It is tipped to come with a 5.7-inch display with HD+ resolution and a triple-rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors on the back, and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front.
