Samsung has launched the Galaxy M42 5G in India. It’s the first 5G phone under the Galaxy M series. Galaxy M42 5G comes with the Snapdragon 750G processor, a 48-megapixel quad-camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone comes in two colour options of Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Gray, and features a prism dot design with a glossy finish.

Galaxy M42 5G starts at 21,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and this variant is priced at 23,999. Samsung is offering the Galaxy M42 5G at an introductory price of 19,999 and 21,999 on Samsung.com and Amazon India on May 1. The smartphone can also be purchased from select retail stores.

In terms of specs, Galaxy M42 5G features a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G octa-core processor. It also supports expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Galaxy M42 5G has a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. It features a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies.a

The smartphone is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. It is also equipped with Knox Security and Samsung Pay. On the software front, Galaxy M42 5G runs One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 out-of-the-box.
