Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra camera specs unveiled

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone has been in the news for quite some time now. Reports in the past have hinted towards the phone getting a 108-megapixel primary camera. Now, a new report sheds more light on the camera specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

As per a new report by tipster who goes by the name Ice Universe on Twitter, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will come with a 10-megapixel lens with a 1/2.8-inch focal length with 3x optical zoom. The phone will have another 10-megapixel camera with the same focal length. However, this 10-megapixel camera will come with a 10x optical zoom. The tipster says that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will have the “strongest optical zoom system known.”

Meanwhile, older reports have tipped towards the Galaxy S21 Ultra getting a 108-megapixel primary sensor with Samsung Isocell HM3 sensor with a single pixel reaching 0.8um. The phone, however, isn’t likely to come with a time-of-flight sensor at the back.

Report also suggests that Samsung’s premium budget smartphone will feature a WQHD resolution LTPO screen panel. This means the Galaxy S21 Ultra will get a 120Hz refresh rate panel with “Almost equal width bezel”. Additionally, the phone could also support 45W charging technology.

Reports also state that the phone is likely to get a 6.8-inch dynamic AMOLED display. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset that is coupled with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. It is expected to run on Android 11-based One UI 3.0 and be backed a 5,000mAh battery.
