Xiaomi clears the air on unwanted repeated reboot error in Redmi phones

It looks like some Xiaomi smartphone users are facing issues with unwanted repeated booting of smartphones. The company has however, released a statement based on customer feedback. The statement confirms that the company is aware of the problem and is working on it already.

Xiaomi has also mentioned that a fix for this will be coming by early next week. “It has come to our notice that Mi & Redmi devices are showing an error, causing unwanted rebooting of the device. It has been observed that certain lines of code are misbehaving during an app update. While we are working on fixing the issue with the App developer and rolling out a permanent update by early next week, we have put temporary containment measures in place, over the last 36 hours,” stated the firm.

In addition, the company said “This fix may need consumers to get their devices flashed at a service centre. At Mi India, customer experience is top most priority and we regret the inconvenience caused to them. As a committed brand, our endeavour is to continue delivering on our consumer expectations, thereby offering best user experience to everyone.”

While this is being solved, Xiaomi seems to have some new tech under wraps, something we haven’t seen before. One of it is the new camera sensor that can take 300% more light in a single shot and can deliver up to 20% sharper images. The company, however, has not yet given details on the f number for the aperture but it might just be one of the best sensors for night mode.
