Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 India launch date revealed

Xiaomi has announced the launch date for a new Redmi smartphone in India. Redmi Note 9 will launch in India on July 20. The global launch for this phone already took place two months back.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 launch in India is scheduled for July 20, and it will start at 12 noon. The launch event will most likely be livestreamed. There’s a dedicated website for the Redmi Note 9 and a ‘Notify Me’ button for updates on the launch.

Specs of the phone are expected to remain the same with only the price being the major reveal. Redmi Note 9 carries a $200 price tag which translates to roughly ₹15,600. This is for the base model of the smartphone. In terms of design, Redmi Note 9 looks like its Pro variants with a punch-hole camera and a square-stacked camera module.

As far as specs are concerned, Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 layered on top. Redmi Note 9 runs on MediaTek’s Helio G85 processor. It comes in two storage variants of 3GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB.

For photography, Redmi Note 9 sports a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s a 13-megapixel front camera on the Redmi Note 9 for selfies.

The smartphone also packs a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging speed. On the software front, it will most likely run MIUI 11 out-of-the-box.
