Nokia 6.1 Plus aka Nokia X6 launched: Full specifications, price, features

HMD Global has announced the global variant of Nokia X6. This smartphone was first launched earlier this May in China. The global variant of Nokia X6 is called 'Nokia 6.1 Plus' and the smartphone is part of Google's Android One programme.

Nokia 6.1 Plus Android One smartphone is currently available in China. It carries a price tag of 2,288 HKD which translates to roughly ₹20,100. In comparison to Nokia X6, Nokia 6.1 carries the same design along with the notch display in two colour options of blue and white. The specifications between the two also remain the same.

The only differentiating factor is that Nokia 6.1 Plus runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo courtesy of Google's Android One programme. Under this programme, Nokia 6.1 Plus will run native Android OS, receive monthly security and system upgrades.

Nokia 6.1 features a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood of the smartphone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There's also a microSD card slot for further storage expansion up to 400GB.

In the photography department, Nokia 6.1 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear. There's a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, the smartphone houses a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. The smartphone's camera comes with AI features for better photo imaging, and animated stickers.

Connectivity options on Nokia 6.1 include dual SIM, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery along with support for fast charging.
