Apple’s long-rumoured iPad mini redesign chances have just received a fresh boost after reports came in about some of the upcoming changes to the company’s successful tablet in its sixth generation. Apple is now reportedly surveying customers in China about the iPad mini screen size and what they think about iPadOS.
While the Apple iPad mini is quite a successful device, the company has sent out a survey to its users in China, which even asks about the size of the screen on the iPad mini 4, according to a report by Chinese news portal IT Home. This is not the first time the company has surveyed customers – last year, it asked users about the in-box charger before the iPhone 12 was launched.
Some of the questions asked on the survey include questions about the display and enquire about the size, whether it is too small, large or just the right size.

According to earlier rumours, the iPad could come with a smaller screen size of 8.5 to 9-inches compared to the current 10.2 -inch screen on the existing iPad models.
Interestingly, the iPad mini 4 is one generation behind the current 5th generation iPad mini, but Apple is asking about the former, even though the screen on both devices is the same. Apple has also asked users whether they are using the power brick and cable, a stylus or a keyboard, as well as their existing non-Apple hardware such as Windows computers, tablets and smartphones and wearables, according to the report.
A 9to5Mac report says that the upcoming iPad mini 6 could come with a USB-C port and ship with the company’s rumoured A15 chipset that is expected to arrive later this year. If the rumours are true, then Apple’s upcoming iPad mini 6 could join the ranks of the latest iPad Air and the powerful iPad Pro that also come with USB-C connectivity instead of Apple’s proprietary Lightning port.
