Redmi Note 9 5G

Xiaomi has finally launched its latest Redmi Note 9 series. Featuring Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G, the new phones will be initially available in China. The two phones offer upgraded specifications over the Redmi Note 9 series in India. There is also a 4G model of Redmi Note 9.

Redmi Watch

Xiaomi has also launched its first-ever Redmi-branded smartwatch. Conveniently called Redmi Watch, the smartwatch offers a 7-day battery life and NFC connectivity. Redmi Watch is priced at CNY 299 ( 3,400 approximately), and it will go on sale in China on December 1.

Huawei founder’s message to departing Honor employees

Huawei has already announced it would sell Honor to a new entity called Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology. In a farewell speech to employees of Honor, Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei acknowledged that the decision to sell the budget brand was to keep its sanction-hobbled supply chains alive.

Libra’s launch

Facebook may officially announce the availability of its controversial Libra cryptocurrency in January, reports Financial Times. Libra was relaunched in slimmed-down form after regulators and central banks across the world raised concerns around it.

India’s new regulation for taxi aggregators

The Indian government has allowed app-based taxi aggregators such as Uber Technologies and Ola Cabs to charge up to 20% commission on ride fare. The new guidelines also the surge prices at busy times can be a maximum of 1.5 times the base fare.
