BGMI to get PUBG game modes, special Diwali events announced

Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI, is all set to celebrate the festive season with new BGMI Diwali events that start on October 20. Gamers can also look forward to PUBG modes that are coming to BGMI.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has effectively replaced PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or PUBG Mobile India, which was banned in the country last year. Over the past few months since it was released, the developers have been working to add back many of the PUBG game modes that many players were missing out on BGMI. Now, it has been revealed that this battle royale game is adding some popular PUBG game modes including Vikendi, Metro Royale, and the Titan: Last Stand modes. The developers are also hosting BGMI Diwali events that will run till November 9 – here’s everything you need to know.

Last week, Krafton had announced Mega Mode for BGMI, and it has been revealed that there are seven gaming modes coming to the Indian PUBG avatar. Now, gamers can look forward to Metro Royale which began on September 28 and will continue till November 16. Vikendi will run from October 8 to November 16, while Titan: Last Stand will run from October 31 to November 16.

Gamers can also play Zombie: Survive till Dawn from October 22 to November 16, while the Infection and Payload game modes can both be played from October 31 to November 16. Gamers will also be able to play the Erangel Runic Theme Mode from October 15 to October 22 and again from October 31 to November 16. Meanwhile, BGMI is also working on special Diwali events that can get them exclusive rewards in the game.

As part of the Diwali events, BGMI will first run a Lamp Exchange event from October 20 to November 9. Completing missions will grant users lamp items that be exchanged for rewards like ‘Cool Cat set and headband', permanent ‘Rock Star -Mini14', and Crate Coupon Scrap, as BGR India reports.

Gamers can then can participate in the Diwali log-in event and claim rewards for logging in every day for a week – this begins on October 29 and users can claim a Naughty Kitty set and headband for 14 days. Finally, they can purchase a 50 percent discount coupon for a premium crate, as part of the premium crate special sale, which is part of the Diwali celebrations and will run till October 25.
