Call of Duty Vanguard is the upcoming instalment in the popular Call of Duty franchise and rumours of the game's arrival have been doing the rounds for a few days now. However, we now have a date when the company is likely to reveal the next game, Call of Duty Vanguard. The game, which is set in the backdrop of World War 2 is expected to arrive on current-gen and older consoles. Regular Call of Duty players might recall that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was also revealed in an in-game event.

The Call of Duty Twitter account has tweeted the reveal date for Call of Duty: Vanguard, which informs gamers that the worldwide reveal of the upcoming gaming title is expected to land on August 19. This confirms previous leaks that the game was set to be revealed on the same date.

The release times, according to Eurogamer are 6:30 PM in the UK, 7:30 PM in Europe, and 1:30 PM and 10:30 AM on the East and West Coast in the US. This means that gamers in India can watch the game reveal at 11 PM IST. However, it must be noted that this timing could change due to technical glitches or simply due to delays at the developer's end.

Call of Duty: Vanguard - what we know so far

According to a report by InsideSport, the new Call of Duty: Vanguard is likely to be set in the backdrop of the Second World War, and should be coming to the PlayStation alongside the older PlayStation 4.

The report also states that a listing for the game was also spotted by CharlieIntel, which has effectively leaked the release schedule of the next instalment of the franchise. Just like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War developers could also release the game in three editions – standard, a cross-gen bundle, and an ultimate edition, according to the report that cites details gleaned from data mining of the latest update.
