Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is here and players can now take advantage of the new Fortnite Battle Stars that were earned by them while playing the popular battle royale game. Here’s how to earn and spend those Battle Stars on the latest Fortnite season.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8: After a thrilling end to Season 7, where Doctor Sloan attempted to thwart the alien invasion on Fortnite, the new Chapter 2 Season 8 (also known as the Cubed season) began this week. Last season, Fortnite reintroduced the Battle Stars system to the popular battle royale game and players have been taking advantage of them to unlock special content in the game.

How to earn Battle Stars on Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8

Battle Stars are earned every time you level up in the game. You can do this by collecting bars, eliminating more players and surviving longer in the game. These will give you XP, which in turn will fill up the bar that will help you level up in the game. You can check the level when you start the game, on the home screen.

Once you have enough Battle Stars, you can spend them in exchange for special content, which does not expire once the season ends. However, it must be noted that increasing your level can be a very challenging affair and users will have to keep playing in order to gain more Fortnite Battle Stars.

How to spend Fortnite Battle Stars

The biggest advantage of Battle Stars on the latest Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is that if you want to unlock specific content (like a character, backpack, or glider) you can do so by using a particular number of Battle Stars depending on the item. There is a wide variety of content in the game, with several pages of items, and around 10 items per page so check carefully before spending your hard-earned Battle Stars.

In order to spend a Battle Star, simply go to the Battle Pass page and long press on a reward you want to access -- this will ‘spend' the star and add it to your inventory. However, you will still need to reach different levels to access the next page, which will have even more interesting content. For example, the last page of this season's battle pass contains Marvel's Carnage, as well as a harvesting tool themed on the same character.
