3 new Nokia phones in the works, one of them could offer 5,050mAh battery

Nokia Mobile may soon offer a new smartphone with a 5,050mAh battery. It will also be the first Nokia smartphone to offer such a big battery.

Three new Nokia smartphones are in the works, and one of them will come with a 5,050mAh battery, reports Nokiamob.net.

According to the report, the upcoming Nokia phones will come with WT340 (5050 mAh, DC 3.85 V, 19.44 Wh), CN110 (4470 mAh, 3.87 V, 17.29 Wh), and V730 (3900 mAh, 3.85 V, 15.015 Wh) batteries.

The report further revealed that the first two battery models had received TUV Rheinland Japan certification. The third model was certified by Element Materials Technology.

“At least three new Nokia smartphones in total can be expected based on these new batteries. I mentioned ‘at least' because Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 5.4 share the same battery, so we can expect it to happen in the future as well,” says the report.

The report further highlights that the maximum battery capacity on a Nokia smartphone right now is 4,500mAh battery. It is available on the premium Nokia 8.3 5G and budget Nokia 2.4. If the report is correct, it will be the first Nokia Mobile to have more than a 5,000mAh battery. It is likely to be bundled with fast charging capacities.

It is not clear which Nokia handset will debut with the 5,000mAh battery, but speculations are rife it could be the long-awaited Nokia 9. The 4,4470mAh could be available on the new Nokia 6 or Nokia 7. The smaller one, 3900mAh, could come on budget phones such as Nokia 1.4 or Nokia 4.4.

The last big offering from HMD Global was Nokia 5.4. The handset comes with a 6.39-inch HD+ display with a punch-hole design. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 662 processor. It comes in three variants of 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+64GB.

The phone features a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back. For selfies, the Nokia 5.4 comes with a 16-megapixel punch-hole camera.

On the software front, Nokia 5.4 runs Android 10 out-of-the-box. The smartphone is Android 11 ready, and it is guaranteed to get at least two Android OS updates. In addition to the rear fingerprint sensor, Nokia 5.4 also supports face unlock. The smartphone runs on a 4,000mAh battery with a USB Type-C port for charging up to 10W.
