Samsung earlier this year launched a new Lite series of smartphones based on the 2019 flagships, Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10. The Lite phones came with minor design trade-offs and a much lower price tag. Now, a new report says that Samsung is working on a Galaxy S10 successor.

Right now, there are not a lot of details on what is dubbed as Galaxy S20 Lite. Sammobile reports the phone will run on One UI 2.5 and come with 128GB built-in storage. The website reports that the phone is being referred to as Galaxy S20 Fan Edition internally. There will also be 5G variant of the phone but not all markets will get the model. It's likely the phone will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor.

To recap, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite had launched in January this year for a starting price of 39,999. The phone features a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display. It is powered by Qualcomm's 2019 flagship chip, Snapdragon 855. The phone has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage. It supports expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has as many as three rear cameras including a 48-megapixel sensor, 5-megapixel sensor, and 12-megapixel sensor. For selfies, it has a 32-megapixel camera.

That said, Samsung is also set to launch Galaxy Note 20 in August this year. We can expect a Galaxy Note 20 Lite to follow very soon.
