Viral! Users want THIS feature for iPhone 13 that Apple trashed, but was on iPhone 12
iPhone 13 does not have a feature that was present on iPhone 12 and older iPhones and users want it back.
Apple launched its new iPhone 13 series a few months ago and it had many upgrades and new features. It is a step up from the older iPhone models. Though iPhone 13 is equipped with several useful features, it is missing one major one that is quite useful in some situations and users are desperate to get it. It's the dedicated iPhone noise cancellation option that previous models like iPhone 12 had. Now, there is a huge demand being raised by iPhone 13 users who want this feature rolled out for them too. However, Apple is yet to respond to this demand by consumers. Even the latest iOS update didn't bring the noise cancellation option for the iPhone 13 series.
Users are demanding for noise-cancelling feature in iPhone 13
9to5Mac has reported that a Reddit user has raised a complaint about the lack of the noise cancellation option on the iPhone 13 a few days back and several other users have backed it up. They are wondering why the iPhone 13 series doesn't have that support. The feature allows users to turn on or off a noise-cancelling feature for phone calls through the Accessibility settings.
Earlier in October, a user had raised the issue on Apple Community forums and shared that this isn't due to a hardware constraint as the iPhone 13 series does have a sufficient number of microphones to support noise cancellation.
Replying to the customer's query, an Apple Community Specialist shared a link to an article guiding the users to adjust the audio settings on the iPhone, but, they didn't say anything about the existence of noise cancellation feature on iPhone 13.
However, the steps mentioned in the given link is applicable to older iPhone models like iPhone 12 and the same is not available in the iPhone 13.
Notably, the tech giant brought a few iOS updates since the lack of the noise cancellation option was reported on the Apple Community forums, but the issue is yet to be resolved. The feature is not even available in iOS 15.3 beta.
Due to the lack of the noise cancellation feature, iPhone 13 users are not able to manually control the noise around them during phone calls or reduce it. Users can, however, activate a similar feature called Voice Isolation in the Control Centre to reduce noise or block ambient noises using machine learning on iPhone 13, but considering the backlash, it may not be quite the substitute that users want.
