Vivo has just launched its V20 Pro 5G smartphone in India with an aim to bring the camera prowess and 5G connectivity in a single device to the masses. The phone has already been out in China and has three camera lenses at the back like its slightly weaker models – V20 SE and V20. With three iterations in the V20 series, it can be quite a task to choose one that suits your needs and is worth the asking price. So, we compared the three below based on their specs.

Display

Vivo V20 Pro 5G, V20 SE and V20, all three have the same screen size and resolution. They have a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED panels. So, no matter which one you buy, you won't be missing out on the viewing experience. However, the major change comes in the form of a notch. While the V20 and V20 SE has a waterdrop style notch, the V20 Pro 5G has a slightly longer notch. This also means slightly less screen to body ratio in ‘Pro'.

mobile to buy?

Processor and performance

Since V20 Pro is the most powerful and supports 5G, it has the Snapdragon 765G SoC inside it along with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It comes in just one variant so you don't get much buying flexibility here. Whereas the V20 is slightly less powerful at Snapdragon 720G SoC, along with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. Vivo V20 SE is the least powerful with Snapdragon 665 SoC and 8GB+128GB configuration.

Rear cameras

Vivo V20 Pro has a 64-megapixel sensor along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle macro/bokeh sensor and a 2-megapixel mono camera. V20 gets the same setup. However, V20 SE gets a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel wide and 2-megapixel bokeh sensor. So, theoretically, V20 Pro and V20 should give a similar performance. However, with better ISP in Snapdragon 765G, V20 Pro might render images better and quicker.

Front camera

At the front, Vivo V20 Pro has a 44-megapixel sensor (f/2) along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor. In V20, you will miss out on the 8-megapixel camera as it has just a 44-megapixel lens. In V20 SE, there's a 32-megapixel camera. While you may not find a major difference in 44-megapixel and a 32-megapixel camera in V20 and V20 SE, you will definitely miss out on a wide-angle lens that us used during group selfies and is there in Vivo V20 Pro.

Battery

Interestingly, Vivo V20SE has the largest battery size of 4,100mAh, followed by V20 and V20 Pro at 4,000mAh. However, the real-life performance can be different and depends heavily on how you use the device. All of them support 33W flash charge fast charging tech.

Prices

And finally for the prices, the V20 SE is the most affordable at 20,990, while V20 comes at 24,990 for the 8GB+128GB variant and 27,990 for 256GB storage model. The V20 Pro, being the costliest, comes at 29,990.
