Take on your friends and frenemies in free and frantic side-on robot battler 'Blastron,' now on Android after making its iTunes debut earlier in July and accruing an average 4.5 star rating.

Reminiscent of 2D classic 'Worms,' the action in 'Blastron' is continuous in the offline, single player mode and, quite cleverly, becomes turn-based during multiplayer battles.

Arenas tend to be smaller than their 'Worms' counterparts, a wise decision given the practicalities of mobile gaming, and up to four players can get involved in the same round.

Developer Kabam is currently living it up on iOS with fantasy-themed 'Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North,' one of the moment's biggest-earning games, so expect plenty of opportunity to make in-app purchases from within 'Blastron,' or resolve to make do with the weapons and equipment you can scrape together.
