Chinese handset-maker Coolpad, which last launched the Coolpad Note 3 plus back in October for ₹8,999, will launch its next smartphone -- Coolpad Max -- for the India market on Friday.
Expected to be priced between ₹10,00 to ₹15,000 and having the tagline 'dual in one', the Max features a 5.5-inch FHD curved 2.5D display, 12-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, 2800mAh battery loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Cool UI.
The device, which will be jointly unveiled by CEO Li Bin and vice-president Dr. Zhongsheng Luo, in the presence of India CEO Syed Tajuddin, is expected to turn some heads with the encrypted calls and messages feature. Although the phone is dual-SIM, it is expected that the unique SIM management of the device will allow consumers to use dual accounts for WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
The Max was first launched in China in two variants. While the 32GB storage model featured 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 615 processor, the 64GB storage variant was equipped with 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 617 processor. The phone is expected to be available on domestic e-commerce site Flipkart.
