Apps launch vouchers to financially support restaurants amid covid-19 lockdown
Dineout has introduced “Restaurant Vouchers” that customers can purchase and redeem later when the pandemic subsides.
Like many other industries, restaurants, cafes and pubs are facing some of their toughest times due to the coronavirus lockdown. While food delivery apps are struggling to find restaurants that are accommodating services, most food joints have had to temporarily suspend operations amid zero footfalls and supply crisis.

In all this, some platforms that offer deals from restaurants have come up with Restaurant Vouchers. These vouchers can be bought now and used later, once situations return to normal. Restaurant platform Dineout is one of them.
"While we are encouraging our diners to stay home despite financial implications on us, local restaurant businesses need our support more than ever as they face severe losses," Ankit Mehrotra, Co-Founder and CEO Dineout said in a statement.
These vouchers can be purchased via the Dineout app through supportrestaurants.in and are available in ₹1,000 denominations that can be redeemed in the next six months.
On their part, Dineout will transfer the funds to the restaurants to ensure that restaurants continue to receive the crucial cash-flow to survive these trying times while food-lovers get discounted coupons from over 20,000 partner restaurants.
