Flipkart Warranty Assistant for smartphones launched at ₹99

Flipkart on Monday launched a new ‘Warranty Assistant' for mobile phone purchases. Flipkart's Warranty Assistant is applicable for leading mobile phones purchased on the e-commerce platform.

Flipkart Warranty Assistant is priced at ₹99 and it can be availed while purchasing leading mobile phones. The new service “aims to assist customers with issues such as manufacturing defects, software and hardware issues, which are covered in the terms and conditions of the brand warranty, within the warranty period of the product.”

This doesn't cover damage costs for smartphones but it's instead an assistance for understanding warranty issues offered by Flipkart. Warranty on smartphones will still be covered by the OEM. Flipkart's Warranty Assistant covers one year of assistance to customers. This service also ensures doorstep pick-up and drop for one year.

When customers are making a mobile phone purchase on Flipkart the Warranty Assistant option will be available too. Interested customers can opt for this service and it will be added to their total purchase price. Flipkart hasn't specified which phones are eligible for this service though.

Flipkart also offers “Complete Mobile Protection” which it launched back in 2018. This insurance protection covers damage repairs like broken screens, liquid damage, repair or replacement for smartphones. Customers also get doorstep pick-up and drop with this service. Flipkart has different charges for different damages under its Complete Mobile Protection scheme.
