The electronics giant has been sharing teasers on its social media handles about the big launch, which has created quite a buzz already.

Talking about the upcoming models, Samsung Electronics President Dr. TM Roh said, “This year, we've made advancements in every detail and opened the new experiences enabled by these behaviour-shifting devices. I am excited to see people discover new ways to do more of the things they love with the new foldable.”

Dr. Roh also spoke about what we can expect at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10 and said: “At our upcoming Unpacked on August 10th, you'll see that the impact of our innovation is not only about what technology can do. It's about what you can do. We've once again taken our inspiration from the most important source – Galaxy Users – to push the limits of what's possible.” 

Are foldable phones the future?

Mobile phones today form an integral part of our existence and have evolved leaps and bounds since the first model was introduced. Through the evolution, several form factors have been introduced but the candy bar form factor – which is essentially a simple rectangular phone with no lid or hinges – has been the go-to option for most cellphone manufacturers.
