Google Doodle goes sci-fi on Douglas Adam's 61st birthday

Google seems to have taken a leap into the future with their doodle for noted humour author Douglas Adams' 61st birthday. Adam' cult classic book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy became the inspiration for Google's Doodle today.

Google's visitors today were greeted by its innovative doodle as it the search giant paid tribute to the famous humorist author Douglas Adams.

Google seems to have taken a leap into the future with their doodle for noted humour author Douglas Adams' 61st birthday. Adam' cult classic book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is the inspiration for Google's Doodle today.

The Doodle gives us a glimpse into Adams' bestseller trilogy: A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and it shows us the interior of a a futuristic spaceship.

You will find stars passing by through the tiny window in the top right and to the left-side is an elevator with a robot, as your co-pilot.

The doodle has a device featuring the words 'Don't panic' written on it. In the series, Don't Panic is a phrase written in large letters on the cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The doodle includes a spate of clickable elements of Adams' famous novels. When clicked, the doodle also plays sound in the background which can be turned off which a click of a mouse. You can find a cup of tea in doodle as well.
